"The space between things" - Objects captured in glass

Recently, Galeria Artep presented a unic perspective on the between - the distance between us, the space between us and things, the relationship between material and immaterial, through an authentic interpretation of glass through the intervention of natural materials in the burning process, proposed by emerging artist Andreea-Delia Voren.

The artist altered the glass using natural elements - paper, sand, stones, leaves - and transformed it into another way of artistic expression, typical of contemporary art.

"The exhibition thus becomes an intermediate space where the works speak for themselves, outside of utilitarian or symbolic contexts. Andreea-Delia Voren captures that between between visible and invisible, material and immaterial, transforming glass surfaces into a portal to what Latour and Harman call the deep reality of objects: the artist's works propose a return to an aesthetic of pure observation, freed from forced interpretations; an exhibition about objects captured in glass, about the spaces between them, about the silence of materiality and the story that things tell when people stop categorizing them.

Through this exhibition, the artist challenges the limits of perception and invites us to rethink our place in the vast web of things. We are witnessing a dialogue between nature and culture and a moment of redefining the relationship between people, objects and space", states the curator Cristiana Ursache.

"The presented works are made of glass through a technical and conceptual process that goes beyond the traditional limits of this material. By fusing elements such as paper, sand, stones and plant fragments, the process investigates the potential of glass to become a complex medium of contemporary artistic expression.
The central theme of the artistic approach is the investigation of the present materiality as an existence located at the intersection between organic and artificial, reconsidering the place of man in the complex network of matter", says the artist Andreea-Delia Voren.
